Website design for cleaning businesses: get more bookings, not just enquiries

What a cleaning business website needs to turn visitors into bookings: clear prices, online booking, trust signals and a page for every service you offer.

Website design for cleaning businesses: get more bookings, not just enquiries

Cleaning customers usually know what they want: a bond clean before the inspection, a fortnightly house clean, an office cleaned after hours. What they're deciding is who to trust and how quickly they can lock it in. A good cleaning website answers both questions in under a minute.

Key takeaways
  • Give each service its own page: end-of-lease, regular home cleaning, office, carpets and windows.
  • Show prices or price ranges. "Call for a quote" loses customers who are comparing.
  • Let people book or request a quote online, any time of day.
  • Show police checks, insurance and reviews, because customers are letting you into their home.

Home page: services, suburbs and a way to book

Your home page has one job: get the right visitor to the right service, fast. Above the fold, show:

  • What you clean and where: "Home, end-of-lease and office cleaning across Adelaide's southern suburbs."
  • A "Book a clean" or "Get a price" button in the header.
  • Your Google rating and the trust points customers care about most (police-checked, insured).

A page for each service

People search for the job, not the industry. "End of lease cleaning Marion" and "office cleaners Adelaide" are very different customers with different questions. A page for each main service lets you answer them properly:

  • End-of-lease / bond cleaning: what's included, and whether you offer a re-clean guarantee
  • Regular home cleaning: weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits
  • Office and commercial cleaning: after-hours work, keys and alarm codes, contracts
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning
  • Window cleaning
  • One-off spring cleans and move-in cleans

For each one, explain what's included (an inclusions list works well), how long it usually takes, what customers need to do beforehand and a price guide.

Show prices, or at least a range

Cleaning is one of the easiest services to price upfront, and customers expect it. A simple guide by home size works for most residential jobs:

a price guide by home size with a button to book online.
Simplified example: a price guide by home size with a button to book online.

If every job really is different, give a starting price and explain what changes it, like the number of bathrooms, carpet condition or oven cleaning. A range is far better than nothing: people who can't find a price often move on to a competitor who shows one.

Let customers book online

A lot of cleaning bookings happen in the evening, when people are sorting out their week. If they can book or request a quote there and then, you get the job before they think to ring anyone else.

For regular cleans, an online booking system lets customers choose a day and time, and set up recurring visits. For end-of-lease and commercial jobs, a quick quote form that asks for the property size, suburb and preferred date is often a better fit. Trust: police checks, insurance and real people

You're asking strangers to give you their keys. Make it easy to say yes:

  • Police checks: say that your cleaners are police-checked, if they are.
  • Insurance: mention your public liability insurance.
  • Guarantees: explain any re-clean or satisfaction guarantee clearly, including the conditions.
  • Real photos: your team and your branded car or uniforms, not stock images of smiling models.

Only claim what's true. A guarantee you can't honour costs you more in bad reviews than it wins in bookings.

Reviews and repeat customers

Regular cleaning lives on repeat business and word of mouth. Show your Google rating on every page and add a few reviews that mention specific services, like a bond clean that got the deposit back. After every job, send a short text with your review link. See how to get more Google reviews for templates.

Many of the same rules apply to trades, so the tradie website checklist is worth a read too.
